Founded in 1643, Trudon began as a wax supplier to the French royal court and churches, becoming the official candle maker to Louis XIV and later Napoleon. While its reputation was built on candles, Trudon expanded into room diffusers to offer a flameless, long-lasting alternative for scenting interiors. These diffusers maintain the brand’s commitment to luxury, heritage, and olfactory excellence, translating its iconic fragrances like Ernesto, Abd El Kader and Madurai, into passive scent experiences that last for months.
Each diffuser reflects Trudon’s dedication to artisanal quality and historical storytelling, with scents inspired by mythical cities, historical figures, and sacred rituals. The collection is curated to elevate spaces with refined, evocative aromas, aligning with the brand’s philosophy of using scent as a form of interior expression
Part of Trudon’s Belle Matière collection, the Madurai Diffuser is a fragrant homage to the sacred jasmine traditions of southern India. Inspired by the ancient city of Madurai, where jasmine garlands adorn temples and rituals, this diffuser captures the heady, luminous beauty of sambac jasmine, a flower once brought to India by the Duke of Tuscany in 1690. The result is a radiant, spiritual floral scent that evokes warm breezes, sacred ceremonies, and timeless elegance.
The Madurai 350ml diffuser is presented in deep navy blue hand-blown glass vessel, crafted by artisans in Vinci, Italy. The fluted vessels echo the design of Trudon’s iconic candles, reimagined for passive diffusion. Each diffuser includes 8 natural black rattan reeds for optimal scent diffusion

Usage
-
Uncap the bottle and insert the natural black rattan reeds into the fragrance oil.
-
Allow 24–48 hours for the scent to diffuse fully into the room.
-
Flip the reeds when they feel dry to the touch. For a more intense fragrance, rotate them more frequently.
-
Place the diffuser in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Do not light the reeds, this is a passive diffuser, not a candle.
-
Avoid placing on delicate or varnished surfaces; use a coaster or tray to prevent staining.
-
If oil spills, wipe immediately with a soft, damp cloth.
-
Wash hands thoroughly after handling the reeds or oil.
